American Idol Concert Tour Review

Well. Well. It's good that I gave myself a few days to calm down before blogging about the tour or it would have basically been a whole lot of unreadable jibberish that looked a little like this - "OMGhgkjk679ADAMLAMBERtgahhh679q9ue8w5789&%*"

Or something to that effect. (Affect? Effect...)

Anyways. The tour was GREAT. I may have even enjoyed it more than last year, because unfortunately David Cook was disappointing. However, no one this year was disappointing (that I cared about.) Adam was FANTASTIC - the energy in the room when he came out was electrifying (good word). Everyone was just so stoked to see him. Seeing him live was different than anyone else I've ever seen live because he was just so...good. Like, inhuman. ELECTRIFYING, if you will.

Allison, Matt, Kris and Scott were all also very good, and there was nobody bad. Megan was the most disappointing, just because she didn't really connect with the audience at all.

The group song was amazing, mainly because RENEE LOVES JOURNEY. That one song, to be more specific (Don't Stop Believin')

And then AFTERWARDS - oh boy. We got to see them and get SO CLOSE TO THEM IT WAS...electrifying. I touched Kris Allen's palm (not creepily, we high fived) and I squished my hand against Matt Giraud's chest (again, not creepily, I was shoved forward by some weirdo behind me - what kind of thirty year old male freaks out when they see Allison Iraheta? Pedophile. He totally pushed some little kids into the barricades. I feared for my life. Tangent.)

Then Adam Lambert stole my book. I was holding it out for him to sing because people held stuff out and then they got signed but I guess no one else was holding anything as weird as "The Sun Also Rises" because his rep misconstrued my gesture and thought I was giving it to him as a gift. She was like "Thanks, he'll love it" and then she took it. I didn't say anything, because I have to say, the thought of Adam Lambert reading my book - or more specifically Gab's book - makes me a little tingly.

So that was basically my American Idol experience, omitting the part where we got lost afterwards, wandered around downtown Vancouver for an hour and had to take a kabuki cab back to our hotel.

The wedding announcement should arrive any day now

We can now officially market sexiness in a bottle, just wave it around his head when he's hitting those high (not screaming) notes, OH MY JESUS.

Feast your eyes if you THINK YOU CAN TAKE IT!

Joint post!

HI IT'S RENEE AND IT'S TWO O CLOCK IN THE MORNING! HAHA!

Hi, it's Gab. And I'm not going to CAPS LOCK because it's annoying.

I LOVE RENT.

We just watched Camp Rock. Why, you ask? I'm pretty sure no one, not even God, knows.

THEN WE REREAD ALL MY OLD FAKE FANFICTIONS! I AM HILARIOUS! DINOMARES, ANYONE?

And then, we compiled a list of all the times Andrea was nice to Renee, because we all know that they are secretly friends. And I can write about Andrea on this blog because she doesn't/refuses to read it.

ANDREA AND I ARE AS TIGHT AS MY LYRICS, YO.

I'd like to take this opportunity to shout out to Rachel and Danielle. Rachel is our only daily viewer who has admitted it. But we know that Danielle also reads it because she mentions things accidentally from it.

I AM SO MAD AT THE GRADE TWELVES FOR LEAVING ME NEXT YEAR. I ENJOY HARRY POTTER!

We also just watched the newest Harry Potter and had a disagreement on attractiveness of characters, as per use. I find Draco sexy, and Renee finds nobody sexy, but if she had to choose, Ron.

I ALSO ENJOY GILMORE GIRLS.

We watched like a billion episodes of Gilmore Girls on fast-forward. It was super entertaining for those of us that had no idea what was going on. We also watched all of Sleepless in Seattle in 30 minutes. And didn't miss much. Like nothing happens.

WILD FRIDAY NIGHTS WE IS LIVING.

Gab's Number 1 Band

You guessed it — Queen!
I can say, without a doubt, that Freddie Mercury has the most insane voice anyone has ever had. It is for this reason that I will be naming my future cat "Freddie Mercury" (Freddie for short).

Favourite songs: Killer Queen, Don't Stop Me Now, Bohemian Rhapsody

Peace, Gab

Renee's Number 3 Band

The Postal Service

Favourite songs: Such Great Heights (give me chills - one of my favourite songs ever), Against All Odds (Yes, I realize it's a cover), Be Still My Heart, Recycled Air

Ties are cheating Gab!

Aren't you excited about Neil soonly discovering our blog and therefore becoming our best friend? ALSO did you see him on Ellen? Because we need to sign up for that thing that he runs in LA, sounds awesome.

P.S. Jason Schwartz is so fuuugly.

Tube Tuesday! Dustin Lance Black Acceptance Speech

I know I only briefly mentioned this, but this my favourite speech of the Oscars. I don't even have anything I can say about it. It is just so powerful and encouraging.

I WIN!

What should it say? Here's when I wish we had a larger viewership, because then I'd put the question to the repliers. Instead, I will decide before tomorrow.

Renee's Number 7 Band

Sigur Ros

Awesome Icelandic band with their own language, Hoplandic. Their music videos are incredible; they make me want to go to Iceland. It's actually not very cold, did you know that? It was all a trick! And Greenland's freezing and snowcovered. Sneaky Vikings.

Best Sigur Ros songs: Hoppipolla, Sigur 3, Glosoli

Another Canadian indie band. If anything, I'm patriotic. Best songs: Citizens of Tomorrow, Nature of the Experiment, Be Good

I WILL PROVETH YOU WRONG!

That's how you try to win my forgiveness??? By insulting him even more AND spelling his name wrong? God, how are we even friends, you mean....human.

AND BY THE BY HE IS SO HOT!!! And his songwriting skills are formidible. Formidible I say...this really burns me up. There's a white hot rage inside of me. BOOM fire. And scene.

Oops, how did that picture of Adam "Sexy" Lambert get in there? PSYCH, it wasn't an accident.

Josiah Leming

This is my favourite male singer in the world (my favourite female singer being, of course, Regina Spektor.) He auditioned for American Idol last year and they retardedly cut him before the top 24. His biblical name triggered this flash to the past post (because Octomommy named all her kids after apostles or something, did she not? Continuity error!)

Sorry I'm STILL not smart enough to know how to embed videos. Hang on. I'll ask Gab how to do it on facebook chat (yeeeah, facebook!) AH GOOD, you're explaining it!

Oh my God I'm like sooooo smart! Haha, thanks Gab. So the song above (above, see? because I EMBEDDED like the technological whiz I am) is my favourite song. My other favourites are called "This Cigar", "Dream Reality" and "Her." I seriously suggest you look them up because they're so KICKASS and Josiah Leming is so AWESOME. Yeah....

Renee's American Idol Recap!

YEAH!! Woooot, aren't you excited Gab? I'm reviewing your favourite show ever!

So thankfully, all of my favourites made it through, and I have quite a few favourites. My very favourite, Adam, did awesomely, per use. There aren't that many men that can sing Cher and still remain masculine. Nor can many men wear nail polish and jewelery and remain masculine, but my boy pulls it off.

My second favourite Danny did impressively well, minus the pit stains. My new third favourite is Kenny, this cute little boy who rocks out to Jason Mraz all the time. Then I like Matt, who looks like Mitchmunk from Canadian Idol. They didn't show the girls I like, Jessie and Jackie. What a sexist show!

Anyhow...it was pretty satisfying, minus the fact that they put that super annoying girl through and minus the fact that Ryan Seacrest is a turd. Tatiana is LIKE SO ANNOYING. I hope she gets eliminated very very very soon or I won't be able to watch anymore. Except I will, because Adam's hotness makes up for it.

This is a random transcript from a show that someone is watching in my house.

"You don't need to come home and take out your bad mood on me!"
"Me? You're the one whose been in such a bad mood since Mia moved to China!"
"It feels like we're fighting a lot lately."
"I know."
"It sucks..."
(They proceed to make out)

New characters
"Are you packing or unpacking?"
"I'm moving into my own room"
"Oh my god you hate me! I'm so sorry!"
"I don't hate you. If anything, I'm sorry you had to live with that secret all these years. it's not your fault."
"I don't get it. If you don't hate me why are you moving out?"
"I just realized that you and Mom and Dad keep so much stuff from me that I get fragile. I want you to lean on me sometimes."
"I do lean on you."
"No"
"yes."
"No, not like I lean on you. I just need to be on my own for awhile. Is that okay?"
"Yes. Which room are you moving into?"
"The blue room. Down the hall."
"Oh. Can I help you decorate?"
"No."

(End Scene)

I don't know what the hell that show was, I didn't even look at it once. Just recorded. Sounds like a real winner though. Ohh, now there's something on about a little kid called Tommy with nerdy glasses talking to his mom about sex. Now they're looking for a cheap motel....hmmm.

I think maybe it's time for me to get some hobbies.

Renee Out

P.S. HAHA, Tommy's mom left him alone at the motel and he got abducted. BAHAHA, what a sketchy show...

Renee's Number 2 Hottie

OMG GAB, you did not even use the word charro in the right context. I am ashamed, ashamed I say. AND BY THE BY SAWYER IS SO SEXY YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOURE TALKING ABOUT SETH MYERS IS LAME.

When I'm mad I don't use punctuation, but I'm over it. I just have so many more charros than you I guess. Here is my number two. Don't say anything mean about him because he is the future father of my babies! (But only his character, not him in real life)

Renee's Number 2: Milo Ventimiglia as Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls)

Renee Out.

Renee's Number 3 Hottie

Hmm, that Daniel guy is pretty fine. He looks like Jude from Across the Universe. My list is still eons better (is eons an increment of awesomeness?) We should invent an increment of awesomeness. Charros. It makes me think of Pokemon and fire, both of which are awesome.

My next guy is charros better than all your guys combined!

Renee's Number 3: Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost)

I win!

Where Renee gains points for her quantity of posts, she loses them for being unable to embed.

Anyways, I also get points for being related to famous people. So there! Here is my cousin, what up. (And that is indeed Anna Wintour looking at her.)

Epic Post: Bjorn Turoque

I recently (like 2 years ago) saw an amazing documentary called "Air Guitar Nation" about, well, air guitar. But it is absolutely hilarious and totally worth seeing.
So anyways, my favourite air guitarist was Dan "Bjorn Turoque" Crane. And then I found this video of him on the Conan O'Brian show and now you, our readers, can truly appreciate how awesome he is.
Without further ado, I give you, BJORN TUROQUE!

http://bjornturoque.com/vid/BjornConan.mov

(unfortunately it is unembedable. So you must click the link.)

Peace, Gab

I Want Dwight to Plan All My Parties

This is the best thing I've ever seen EVER EVER EVER. Once he's enormously famous, he'll see this blog (as it, too, will be enormously famous) and he'll read all the old entries from before he was enormously famous and he'll say "Wow, this girl is a really big fan, and she sounds hot" and then we'll get married.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLlOFxzk-2A&feature=related

Sorry that I STILL don't know how to embed (embed? is that the word I'm looking for?) videos, Gab. But at least I post on our blog. You've abandoned it like a baby in a dumpster which is just uncool, man. Our fans must be crushed.

Also, it's really funny, because almost all the comments are people theorizing about whether or not he's gay. I don't really care if he is. I think Gab and I have proven we have no problem falling in love with famous gay guys, eh? However, a few of the comments mention that he looks like Joe Jonas. Those people are dead to me.

May your road ahead be lit with dreams which are lit with tomorrows which are lit with dreams...also

PS I've been searching high and low for my new ALL TIME favourite HIMYM clip on the interweb so that I can post it. I'll find it some day...

Snippy Response

Dear Gab: You talk a pile of crap. Adam Lambert doesn't look ANYTHING like Joe Jonas (what, I don't know their names, leave me alone dammit) and that comparison of yours was crude and .. and ... loutish (thank YOU, thesaurus.com)

We are currently engaged in a fight which will last approximately twenty four hours. You have twelve hours left. Watch yourself.

P.S. Well, Howard Stern's a little creepy in general. Neil Patrick Harris is too cool for his show.

Gab's Top 10 HIMYM Moments

Proof of how awesome Neil Patrick Harris is: almost all of my favorite moments are with Barney.

Honourable mention: When Barney is sick. "OUCHY IN MY MOUTH!"

10. Lily's dancing. Especially when she needs to be inconspicuous like in "The Bracket."

9. Barney being stuck on the subway. "My legs don't work. I have ridden the subway twice from end to end. I've been where it turns around. Ted, you don't ever want to see where it turns around."

8. Ted and Barney's naked man poses. Including: Superman, Captain Morgan, Oops! I Didn't See You There, The Thinker, The Heisman, The Burt Reynolds, Coppertone Baby and Olympic Gynmast Who Stuck The Landing and my favorite, Mr. Clean.

7. Barney's confession of his love for Robin to Lily. The cutest Barney moment of the series, so far.

6. Lily's loud chewing. Especially when eating cotton candy, thus earning the name "Chewbacca."

5. Barney's gambling in Atlantic City. The most complicated game ever. But Marshall understands it.

4. Barney's play entitled "Suck It Lily." Nothing can describe the beauty of this play, except, maybe, the word 'moist.'

3. Barney on TPIR. "Hi Da—Bob!"

2. Lily moves in with Barney. And the tour of Barney's house: two 300 inch flat screens, Storm Trooper, professionally lit porn shelf, spring-loaded toilet seat.

1. Barney learning how to drive. I can't even describe the beauty/awesomeness/hilarity. Neil Patrick Harris' acting is a thing of shear beauty.

That was fun to make. My original list had 34 moments on it, and it was very difficult to narrow them down. I just love everything.

Peace, Gab
